                                                   Cool  NEW  SHOW Cool

Our new show, "on the Road" with guest artists Cameron Hampton and Del Sanders joining me is up and ready for you.

Del Sanders, born in Nashville, Tn., studied art at the Memphis College of Art and Atlanta College of Art.  He has won awards nationally and describes his style as “modern realism, but also very impressionistic at times.” With this series he tried to capture a moment in time and the feeling and pulse of everyday modern Atlanta., his adopted city. Sanders work exclusively in oils.

Cameron Hampton is well-known in the region and is an award winning international artist. She is a Masters Circle Member of the International Association of Pastel Societies, but for this exhibit her work is in oil. Hampton artfully conveys the feeling of the wide open road or a single walk through an amusement park with a unique clarity of expression. She is part owner of The Hampton Fine Art Gallery in Greensboro.

And me, Anne Jenkins, - I'm premiering my new series, “Le Courage de Femmes,” for the show. This series concentrates on the strength and resilience of women as they cope with  movement and change in their lives - voluntary or not. Some conjure up the simple daily journey to the market and others life changing journeys, such as war and famine. Jenkins works in acrylics with a textured palette knife technique known as impasto.
Each artist uses a different medium and their unique styles will add an excitement and interest to the show. . Don’t miss it!  Call for info (706) 486-6808

It's good for us and Union Point - we hope artists/art oriented folk come to town and will consider relocating here and join our artscentric community!

Wednesday, June 4, we were featured in a long article in the Living section of the ATLANTA JOURNAL CONSTITUTION in their regular Getaway section - a guide to quick trips and good deals. The AJC is a great newspaper and the biggest in the state and region, so we are thrilled with such wonderful exposure.
